Caju food coop: sustainable food for the Korean immigrant community

I heard about this place yesterday, in a talk by Seunghye Suh of the Koreatown Immigrant Workers Alliance. The site for Caju–which means California–is in Korean, but I picked up a flyer in English. Here are 2 of their goals:

providing access to farm-fresh local food and traditional Korean food by offering a food distribution network, food tasting opportunities and cooking classes;

working with local family farmers and learning methods about eco-friendly farming by taking field trips to farms and producing centers.

(e-mail me for a copy of the flyer, complete with tamale smudges from the dinner at the end of the K-town/Macarthur park tour.)
